When we take on a logo project we do a lot of research into the specific target market and the client's business. For a brand new business, we also realize that a logo can really set the tone for marketing materials to follow. It's an integral part of a company's brand. We studied a lot of different logos from the financial world and with the client's input were able to hone in on concepts like, "simple", "strength", and "established" as being key factors. For Colonial we wanted to go traditional to keep it in line with what the target market would resonate with. After several rounds of ideas we hit on it. Once the logo was finalized, we also created a business card, letterhead, and envelope design and handled all of the printing.
The website just needed to solve four main things: create the company's internet presence, create a way to pull in leads from the website, allow visitors an easy way to find the information they're looking for, and be responsive to any device from desktop to mobile.
