Saving Grace Humane Society

The Project:

• A custom WordPress website.
• Worry-free website maintenance.

The Challenge:

The previous site was a “DIY” Wix site created by the former Director of the animal shelter. The shelter also had recently had a new logo created so the new website had to build around this brand element. The two most important factors besides just elevating the overall design were:

• the website content needed to be reorganized so that the visitors could easily find what they were looking for (and this included revamping/customizing the programming for the available pets sections as well);
• the website needed to be easy for staff to update certain things on the site.

The Process:

We love animals here at JVM and we were very excited they chose to work with us to create this new site. Since they are a local organization, we were very familiar with the services they offer and the type of presence they needed on the web, so we did not have to go through as long of a “getting to know you” process as with some of our clients. We worked closely with one of the board members to craft the purr-fect design and re-organize content. At the same time, one of our programmers lent a hand to customizing code that worked with the 3rd party service the shelter uses to show animals available for adoption. As you can imagine, this is the most popular and important feature on the site, so we wanted to make sure this looked and functioned better than the original.
